We are a research group in Theoretical and Computational Condensed-Matter Physics, with an emphasis on developing new methodologies and applications in Density-Functional Theory (DFT) and Time-Dependent Density-Functional Theory (TDDFT).
Eddie Pluhar defended his PhD on 11-20-2020. The title of his thesis is "Application of Model Systems to explore exchange-correlation effects in density-functional theory."
Andre Schleife visited us virtually on 4-21-2021 and gave a very interesting condensed-matter seminar: "Electron and ion dynamics in materials due to particle radiation and optical excitation."
Our paper "A reformulation of time-dependent Kohn-Sham theory in terms of the second time derivative of the density", with Walter Tarantino, was published today (5/28/2021) in JCP.
